My Third Parents Orphanage to an American Dream eBook Fernando Kuehnel Reviews
A story, similar to "A long way home" (Lion), but very different. A compelling read that will bring tears to your eyes.
I usually don't go for 'true life' books, but I thought I'd give it a try since it was recommended to me by the author's sister-in-law. I really enjoyed it. I came across some typos, but that certainly didn't ruin the experience for me.
This book is truely an amazing story. It keeps you wanting to read more. Not only do you get a visual while reading the book it catches your emotions as well. This book tells the side of a journey that is not often shared by others. You must read this book and go on the journey with Fernando and his brothers, it is not all roses, but demonstrates that you can achieve so many things if you just have HOPE! If you are debating whether or not to add this book to your collection, this book is a must have. You wont be disappointed!
Fernando, Adriano, and Bobby joined our family after I had a family of my own, so first, Fernando, thank you for this look inside of your life. I learned a lot. It made me realize how little I knew of the life all you boys had before you came to our family. Mom and Dad were proud of everything you accomplished and are doing today. You are loved. Your brother.
Wow, what a story. This is a fascinating look into the life of a young boy abandoned with his two younger brothers, and his attempts to forge a way in the world and to look out for his siblings in a hard, soul destroying environment. Fernando is honest and writes from his heart. He is proof that determination and the human spirit can lift one out of the lowest of the lows. The Kuehnels sound like a pretty amazing family and show how love and patience are more valuable than any type of currency. Truly inspiring.
A compelling, inspiring true story of the horrific struggle by three very young children abandoned on the street in the Philippines by their parents. They were saved from and orphanage by not one but two different American families who adopted them and brought them to the United States.
The book made me cry. I felt the rejection from the author 's heart. I would recommend to anyone who doesn't know how blessed they are to be born in a country full of opportunities, all they have to do is reach for it
